Health and Illness Policy
Keeping CEC a healthy center for everyone takes a conscious effort by staff and parents working together. We ask each family to set up a reliable back-up plan for short-notice care for those times when their child becomes ill. Teachers take every reasonable precaution to keep illness from spreading from child to child. Sick children will not be admitted, and children that become sick at school are sent home. Given that thorough and frequent washing of hands is the most effective step in halting the spread of illness, rigorous adherence to hygiene procedures minimizes exposure to serious illness. Teachers help the children learn that hand washing is very important always after using the toilet, wiping their noses and before eating.
